Studies in Strong Doctrine by Davis Huckabee

Contents

Davis W. Huckabee announces the printing of a book entitled "Studies On Strong Doctrine." This book consists of fourteen chapters entitled as follows. I. Prevenient Grace. II. Predestination And Election. III. Providence. IV. Original Sin. V. Fruits Of Man's Fall. VI. The Atonement. (Five sections dealing with: 1. The Atonement Premised. 2. The Atonement Purposed. 3. The Atonement Prefigured. 4. The Atonement Purchased. 5. The Atonement Perverted.) VII. Man's Free Will. VIII. Regeneration And Conversion. (Four sections dealing with: 1. The Need Of Regeneration. 2. The Nature Of Regeneration. 3. The Means Of Regeneration. 4. The Results Of Regeneration.) IX. Faith. X. The Two Natures. XI. Sanctification. XII. Adoption. XIII. Preservation and Perseverance. XIV. Glorification Of The Saints. To these chapters are added four appendices dealing with: 1. Hardshellism Or Calvinism. 2. Studies on the word "World." 3. Thoughts on "Soul Winning." And 4. Studies on the word "all."

This book will not find acceptance with modern views of theology-not even among most so-called Baptists, but it is in line with historic Baptist beliefs from the first century to the present. The doctrines herein set forth are in harmony with all the sound Baptist Confessions of Faith of the past. And the numerous quotations from Baptist authors will show its agreement with almost all Baptist scholars until the last century or so. This was when there began a decided deterioration of Baptist doctrinal beliefs as foretold by Inspiration in such texts as Matthew 24:11; Luke 18:8 ff; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; 2 Peter 2:1-3, et al.

Also still available is the author's two volume set on "Studies On Church Truth," which is presently in use as a textbook in Ecclesiology in several independent Baptist schools and seminaries

These books are available from the author at: Davis W. Huckabee, 817 East Pine Lake Road, Salem, Ohio, 44460. Ohio purchasers of single books or sets please order from: Heritage Baptist Church, P. O.
